[edit] Getting the Update

1. Click here to go to Native Instruments
2. If you aren't logged in, type in your username (email address) and password. Then click LOG IN.
3. There should be a drop down on the right that says "Win & Mac". Change it to match your operating system ("Win" for Windows or "Mac" for Mac OS X).
4. Press send
5. Click the red text that says "Kontakt Player 2.2.3 OS Update", where OS is your operating system, to download the update. If you have multiple Garritan products that use Kontakt Player 2, all of the links download the exact same update, so don't worry. They will be updated all at the same time.
6. When the download is complete, you should be ready to install the update.

1. Double click Kontakt Player2_223_Win.zip
   
2. Enable administrator access if prompted (Vista users)
   
3. Read the License Agreement and then click Continue
   
4. Do you agree to the license agreement? If so, click Agree. If not, click Disagree. One let's you pass and the other quits the update.
   
5. Just click Continue.
   
6. Click Install and select the relevant options to install.
   
7. Wait for a minute or less
   
8. If you have NI Service Center, click Cancel. Otherwise, click Start Installation and read Installing NI Service Center.
   
9. Follow the prompts to complete installation.
   

[edit] Installing the Kontakt Player 2.2.3 Update on Mac

1. Double click KontaktPlayer2_223U_OSX.zip
2. Double click Kontakt Player 2.2.3 Installer.app after the zip is unpacked.
3. Authenticate with your name and password. I'm guessing you are used to this screen by now.
4. Read the License Agreement and then click Continue
5. Do you agree to the license agreement? If so, click Agree. If not, click Disagree. One let's you pass and the other quits the update.
6. Just click Continue.
7. Click Install
8. Wait for a minute or less
9. If you have NI Service Center, click Cancel. Otherwise, click Start Installation and read Installing NI Service Center.
10. When done, click Quit.

[edit] Kontakt Player 2.2.4 Update

This update resolves various bugs reported in the 2.2.3 version. Obtain it in the same way as outline above in Getting the Update and install it in the same manner as detailed above for the 2.2.3 updates. It is recommended that you install this update after running the updater for 2.2.3, however if you are unable to obtain the 2.2.3 update or want to skip 2.2.3, no terrible harm should befall your computer.
